3. Banana Bread

A very simple, 5 ingredient banana bread recipe. Easy to do, fool proof and tasty. This is not a 'healthy' cake alternative, just using real ingredients, and everything you probably keep at home. Best to use bananas that are brown/black/very ripe for tastiest results!


Ingredients:

1 egg

2/3 ripe bananas

115g butter (plus extra to grease the tin with)

100g sugar (or more if you like it sweeter)

225g self-raising flour

(Extras: chococolate chips or raisins, or 1-2 teaspoons of cinnamon or mixed spice!)


Method:

Melt butter and sugar together in a saucepan. Mash up the bananas.

Add the egg and mix in well.

Add in the bananas and flour and combine together. (Add in any extra ingredients now)

Grease a loaf tin, and bake in the oven for around 40 mins at 160/170 ° C (or until a knife comes out clean).
